One Year Stats!

We went to Desmond’s 1 year check up today. He is doing great, we finished filling out the developmental milestone sheet, only problem with that is we don’t get a new one till he is 2, since that sheet is for 9 months to 24 months. Oh well at least we know he is developing well.

He had one shot, his DTaP and didn’t seem to mind it. We’ll get him another shot at his 15 month appointment. Based on our plans for his delayed shot schedule he should be caught up to all the vaccines we plan to get him by the time he’s 3. I bet that will make his pediatrician happy at least (you can see her squirm about us delaying).

His growth has slowed some, but that is expected he grew an inch since his 9 month appointment and gained a pound and 5 ounces. He is in the 50thpercentile for weight now and the 75th percentile for height. He is in the 80th percentile for head circumference (48cm).

Now for the stats from birth to 1:

At birth he was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At one months he was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months he was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months he was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
At 6 months he was 19 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches
At 9 months he was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches
At 1 year (12 months) he is 23 pounds 8 ounces and 30 inches

So he’s gained 15 pounds and 14 ounces in a year, almost exactly tripling his birth weight (he is 2 ounces over tripling). He’s also grown 9 and 1/4th inches. So he had a great first year and gained weight and height quite nicely. We are extremely pleased. Now to see how much he grows in his second year of life.
