On the boat

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

While Laura and Miles were up, we went out on the boat. It was Eloise’s first boat ride. Desmond has been before and enjoys it, he got to steer the boat with both his uncle Miles and his Grandpa, which he really enjoyed. Miles also went out wakeboarding, you can see him wakeboarding in the background of one of the pictures. It was a nice day for a boat ride since it was mid 80s out so the breeze on the water from the boat was quite nice.

Desmond in the wading pool

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

We never got around to taking Desmond to the club pool, but we did put out the wading pool one day and let him play around in it, while we were at the lake house. It was set up on the patio under the deck, and he enjoyed playing in the water, even if it wasn’t in the big pool.

On the way to the airport to head home, we also stopped to visit Great Grandpa with my Dad. Here are a couple of pictures I took then as well.

Desmond’s Two Year Photos

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

So my Mom and I took Desmond and Eloise out yesterday to get Desmond’s 2 year pictures done. We tried to get a picture or two with Eloise and Desmond together, it didn’t work well, but we did get one. The rest are just Desmond hamming it up.

He is potty training!

Monday, April 20th, 2009

So as noted by the previous post Desmond is slowly potty training. He has gone pee in the potty at least once a day for the past 3 or 4 days! We are slowly getting there it seems. It will be odd to have a child out of diapers if he keeps this up. It will be nice though.

Yep he’s a gamer, or reading material on the potty!

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

So we are very very slowly working on potty training/learning with Desmond. He has decided he likes to sit on the big potty, so we bought him a potty ring, and he likes to sit on it at least once a day. He still hasn’t done anything in the potty, but he likes to sit on the potty, which we figure is a good first step.

Anyways last night Dan put him on the potty, and the child got himself reading materiel to look at while he was up there. Dan had to take pictures, since it was really amusing to watch the two year old read the gaming magazine on the potty.

Two Year Stats

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

We had Desmond’s 2 year appointment today, and Eloise’s 1 month appointment as well. Desmond is doing great, he is in the 50%tile for height and weight. He is doing wonderfully developmentally and had no problems. He was even good about getting his finger pricked for a hemoglobin test and when he got his DTaP. All in all he is doing great.

Anyways here are his stats from birth to now.
At birth he was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At one months he was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months he was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months he was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
At 6 months he was 19 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches
At 9 months he was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches
At 1 year (12 months) he was 23 pounds 8 ounces and 30 inches
At 15 months was 23 pounds 10 ounces and 31 inches
At 18 months he was 26 pounds and 33 inches
At 2 years he is 27 pounds 8 ounces and 35 inches

Easter Pictures and such

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

For Easter we went down to my Aunt Mary’s house. We planned to get there before we did, but we haven’t quite learned how long it takes to go places with the two of them, especially for the whole day.

We had fun while there, Eloise met some of her Aunts and Uncles and her MomMom the Great! Desmond got to run around and hunt for eggs with the rest of the smaller kids that were there. A good time was had by all, and pictures were taken. So here they are.
