Updates and Such

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

Well as you may have noticed I winterfied my blog. I may change it again after we get snow, so I can have a recent pictures of K in the snow up.

Let’s see haven’t written in awhile so let’s see what is new. I’m working for SSAI part time at the moment which is nice since I can do it from home or school. Classes are going okay only two more weeks to go hopefully I’ll do decently this semester.

Thanksgiving was fun drove down to my parents lake house. That place is huge, the movie theatre/projection room is really cool. It was really pretty down there and we had great weather for Thankgiving. Gave everyone there Hanukah presents.

I am done buying stuff for Dan for Hanukah I think, just got his last thing, the complete Calvin and Hobes Collection. Amazon had it at a discount which was nice.

Other then that not much going on. K-line just got back from Daycamp where he had a nice day running around so hopefully he’ll be fairly calm tonight.

Oh I think I may have picked up Dan’s illness, I have a sore throat now, but I’m not as dead as he was so hopefully it is just a mild catching of it.

Classes Registered for!

Wednesday, November 9th, 2005

Well my imunization forms and stuff block was finally removed from my ability to register this morning so I finally was able to register for classes.

Fortunately it is still fairly early in the registration time period so all the classes I wanted still had space.

I am taking Winter Mini-semester:

CMSC198J Special Topics in Computer Science for Non-Majors; (3 credits) This is a java script class. I need one computer science class to graduate so this seemed like a nice one to take. It is M-F 3pm till 6pm for the month of January.

For Spring I am taking:

HEBR112 Elementary Hebrew II; (6 credits)

Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9am tiill 10:50am

ECON305 Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory and Policy; (3 credits)

Monday, Wednesday, Fridays from 1pm till 1:50pm

(I am really happy with this class I got into one of the 45 student classes rather then one of the 180 student classes)

STAT410 Introduction to Probability Theory; (3 credits) Probability and its properties. Random variables and distribution functions in one and several dimensions. Moments. Characteristic functions. Limit theorems.

Thuesday and Thursday from 2pm till 3:15pm

MATH405 Linear Algebra; (3 credits) An abstract treatment of finite dimensional vector spaces. Linear transformations and their invariants.

Tuesday and Thursday from 11am till 12:15pm
(This is really advanced Linear Algebra I already took the basic Linear Algebra class)

It is a fairly nice schedule with only two classes each day, though Hebrew is a long class at two hours. I get done at a decent time though so overall I am really happy with my schedule, oh and as a bonus my largest class is econ with 45 students. Both Math classes are capped at 30 and Hebrew is capped at 15 so I won’t have to deal with huge lecture hall classes in Spring thank goodness.

Got my midterm/early warning grades today

3 No Grade Submitted
1 Satisfactory

Wow that was totally useless especially since it was a 6 week report and I’ve been in class closer to 9 or 10 weeks now. Go go completely pointless paperwork stuff.

General Update

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

Okay so I haven’t updated in awhile, mainly because I have been busy and not that much exciting has been happening here. The kitchen is finally finished! They finished Friday around 8am yay! We had about12 groups of 8 or 9 trick or treaters per group the cutest costume was a button. I have 3 tests next week one on Wednesday and 2 on Thursday. Two Econ Tests and a History test, should be a fun week, really, uh huh, I believe it…

We’re going to New Jersey next weekend for Ellie’s Christening. It should be nice, but we have to leave early because we have to pick up my inlaws from BWI at 7pm, they are returning from France, hopefully they are having fun even with the riots in the city.

I’ve been playing a lot of Civ4 and CoV both are lots of fun. Dan has become addicted to Civ4. He was pissed last night when I finished a game in a little under 2 hours, when it took him about 12 hours to finish his game mwhaha.

We went to a computer show today which was nice there was a craft show there as well. We got a couple of Hanukah present for ourselves there which was nice. What wasn’t nice was coming home. There was apparently an accident on 95 south that closed all lanes. So we tried to detour to 95 North and head through the city to get back a better way we failed. 2 hours later was were back at the show area. We stopped for an early dinner/late lunch since we were hungry and ate at Rainforest Cafe which was nice. Then headed home around 7:30pm thankfully the traffic was clear by then.

Not much else going on here. Pretty quiet the past few weeks all and all.

New K-line pictures

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

I took some new pictures of K-line and they came out very nice if I do say so myself. I’ll attach a few of the smaller pictures below and add the link to see the rest of them.

To see the pictures in their full glory click here and to see the smaller verisions of them click here. I think there is somewhere between 40 and 50 pictures there, but I may be off by a few.
