Fairy

So my parents were up this weekend, my Dad had business earlier the week in the area and my Mom had business on Monday close by, so they both came up for the weekend. It was nice, I like seeing my parents, which is good because Sully and I are flying down on Friday for the weekend. Anyways, they were really here for only one day, they spent Friday evening with my sister and came over Saturday. My Mom and I went shopping, and took Eloise along with us, because she likes to shop. I picked up a couple of things I needed for the holidays and Eloise picked up a new giraffe purse, a my little pony castle and a fairy wings and tutu set, plus the hat and gloves my Mom had brought up with her.

Anyways my parents then took the two elders to the hotel with them for the night, which would have been nicer for me and Dan if they had left before 9pm, but they still had fun spending the night with them. We then all went out for breakfast before my parents headed out, good times were had by all, and we’ll probably see them again in February when we go down for a week. Well the elders will, Sully and I will see them Friday.

All this to show the pictures of Eloise dressed up in her pumpkin fairy costume, with her new tutu, wand and wings and hat and mittens. Here is Eloise the winter pumpkin fairy.

What my children get into when I turn my head for a second. Yes Eloise is hanging off the shelf half naked, and yes she does look like a famine victim in this picture.

Thanksgiving at Preschool

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

So the week before Thanksgiving both Eloise and Desmond had Thanksgiving celebrations at preschool. Their classes made food, learned about Thanksgiving and did other small activities to get ready. Desmond’s celebration was on a Wednesday and Eloise’s was on a Thursday. Families were invited, but siblings were not. For Desmond’s I dropped Eloise and Sully off at the free babysitting, and I went along with my in-laws. It was cute and everyone had a good time, there were a lot of parents and relatives there.

For Eloise’s I dropped Sully off at the free babysitting, and then went. There were far fewer people, which made sense with a class of 12 vs 20. The 2s class was adorable though, and they had fun as well. The best part of the day however, was that Eloise got to have lunch in Desmond’s classroom. She loved it. She was the only child in the 2s class that stayed for lunch, and none of the children in the 3s class stayed that day either (they had their Thanksgiving Feast at the same time). Since I had to be back in an hour to pick up Desmond anyways, and Sully needed a nap, I left Eloise for lunch so they had to find somewhere to put her, her teacher had a funeral to attend. She loved going into the 4 year old class and being with Desmond and all the big kids. All the 4s (at least the girls) loved having her there as well. She keeps on asking to go back, I had to tell her that is was a one time thing. Here are a few pictures I took from both days.
