Here is Eloise enjoying the swing at the park last week.
So we got Desmond’s 3 year old photos done today. Eloise got a few pictures done too since I wanted a few of the two of them together, which didn’t work out that well. Our Sunday session had a couple cute ones of them together, but all the pictures of Desmond sucked, so I just ordered a set of pictures of the two of them and didn’t get the cd. Today’s pictures went much better even though Desmond was a wild child and running everywhere but the studio to get his pictures done. We did get a bunch of very cute pictures of him though. So here they are!
The dog in these next three pictures are Desmond’s new dog from IKEA, Bark
Yes there are two upside down pictures. I really like both of them.
A couple of the pictures we got of them together. These are the good ones…
Happy Pi day all, and Happy 1 year old Eloise!
In one year she went from this:
To this:
So we went to the playground on Sunday, well my in-laws took them on Sunday, I took them Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday after Eloise’s 1 year appointment Dan and I took them to the big playground where they played for about an hour. We didn’t go out Thursday because I was tired after getting up at 5:30am and we didn’t go today because it was raining. They both really like the nicer weather though so we can go out at least a few time a week to play at the playground and run around.
Anyways I took a ton of pictures. Shocking I know. There were a ton of good ones as well. So I am going to split them into a couple of separate posts. Here is a preview of some of the pictures to come.
or I have a peanut!
Eloise had her 1 year appointment today, 4 days early I know. She is doing great, she dropped a bit percentage wise in weight but not enough to worry about. She is still right around the same percentage height. She is doing great developmentally. She is walking though not all the time and she is talking up a storm. She loves to tell you and point to what she wants.
Anyways she was 17 pounds 15.5 ounces, so just at 18 pounds, shockingly she did not hit 20 pounds by 1, her weight puts her right around the 8th percentile for weight. She is 28 inches tall which puts her in the 25th percentile for height. She is in the 50th percentile for her head. She is just a tiny little peanut. She did great at the appointment though and had fun at the park afterward.
She gained 1 pound 3.5 ounces in the past three months which is a decent gain, and she gained 1 1/4 inches.
At birth 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 3/4th inches
At 1 month 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At 2 months 10 pounds 4 ounces and 22 1/2 inches
At 4 months 12 pounds 14.5 ounces and 24 inches
At 6 months 15 pounds 4 ounces and 25 1/2 inches
At 9 months 16 pounds 12 ounces and 26 3/4 inches
At 12 months 17 pound 15.5 ounces and 28 inches
Here are Desmond’s stats for the same time period. She is just a little heavier then he was at 4 months and between his 6 and 9 month height. She is 5 pounds 8.5 ounces lighter then he was at 1 year and 2 inches shorter.
At birth Desmond was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At one months Desmond was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months Desmond was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months Desmond was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
At six months Desmond was 19 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches
At nine months Desmond was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches
At 12 months Desmond was 23 pounds 8 ounces and 30 inches
Here are some picture’s from Nonnie and PomPom’s lake house when we were there in February. First is Desmond riding on his ride toy. Then we have Eloise standing, taking a step from behind and playing with Nonnie!
When we were in Atlanta in February I met up with a friend from a message board one day. We decided to meet at the Atlanta Aquarium. I really like the Aquarium and Desmond enjoys it too since there is a lot to do and see there. We met up with my friend and her daughter who is the same age as Desmond. Eloise spent some time in the stroller, but I quickly moved her to my front since it was easier then pushing the stroller. She enjoyed looking at the fishes and Desmond and his friend enjoyed running around, looking at the fishes and playing. We all had a great time. Since I don’t have permission to post my friend’s daughter’s pictures (I haven’t asked her), here are some of the pictures of just Desmond at the Aquarium. I kind of forgot to get any pictures of Eloise, oops!
One night in January when we had black beans Eloise got rather messy. Okay any night or time we have black beans Eloise gets rather messy, but still. So Desmond being a loving big brother tried to wipe her off with a burp cloth and then a wet wipe. Unfortunately it didn’t work there was just too much of a mess. It was so cute watching him trying to clean up Eloise.
And here is Eloise after Desmond’s help to clean her up. She got a bath a minute or two later.
So Dan and I like to game. Both board games and video games. We have an Xbox360, a Wii and 3 DSs (one for me, one for Dan and one for Desmond). Plus we have computers that play games as well. Desmond and Eloise have a computer in the corner for them, though it is more Desmond’s at the moment then Eloise’s since he can control it a bit more.
Anyways, both my children are apparently following their parent’s footsteps. Eloise likes trying to get Desmond’s DS and play with it, though she can’t play any games yet she just likes playing with the case.
Desmond on the other hand is quite happy to play his games on his DS. He has about 3 he can play by himself at this point in time.
He also loves playing on the Xbox360. He looks so much like a teenager in these next two pictures, sitting on the bean bag playing the Xbox.
We got a bunch of boxes from IKEA to put toys in. Desmond and Eloise both feel they are a great place for them to sit as well. Here are some pictures of the two of them playing in the blue boxes. We have red boxes as well, but they seem to like the blue ones better for playing in.
