Eloise’s 9 Month Appointment

Monday, December 14th, 2009

Eloise is a peanut. She had her 9 month appointment today on her 9 month birthday. She is 16 pounds and 12 ounces which puts her in the 18th percentile for weight. She was 26 3/4 inches tall which puts her in the 25th percentile. Her head is right around the 75th percentile though. She is doing great developmentally and stood without support for close to a minute last night, but still no picture, sigh. Anyways she still hasn’t beaten Desmond’s weight at 4 months, but she is 1/4th of an inch taller! I have a feeling she isn’t going to hit 20 pounds by 1.

She did gain 1 1/2 pounds and 1 1/4 inches in the past 3 months which isn’t bad.

At birth 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 3/4th inches
At 1 month 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At 2 months 10 pounds 4 ounces and 22 1/2 inches
At 4 months 12 pounds 14.5 ounces and 24 inches
At 6 months 15 pounds 4 ounces and 25 1/2 inches
At 9 months 16 pounds 12 ounces and 26 3/4 inches

Just for comparison here are Desmond’s stats at the same ages. She is just about a pound lighter then he was at four months and 1/4th an inch taller.

At one months Desmond was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months Desmond was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months Desmond was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
At six months Desmond was 19 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches
At nine months Desmond was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches

Standing

Last night Eloise stood without support for 10 seconds. I didn’t have time to get a picture though since the camera didn’t have a card in it. Hopefully I will get one soon.

Snow Pictures of Desmond and Eloise

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Today was the first snow of the year so we bundled up Desmond and Eloise and took them out in it to get some pictures. Desmond apparently still mostly fits in his old snow suit so we put him in it. Eloise went into the infant snowsuit we bought when I was pregnant with Desmond, not realized he would outgrow it before fall, since it is a 9 month snowsuit. Oh well, at least Eloise wore it! Anyways we just went to the backyard to get the pictures, both of them seemed to enjoy the snow, though Desmond was done with in 15 minutes or so, probably because we couldn’t find his gloves.

A snowball thrown

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

So while we were out in the snow Desmond picked up some snow and Dan showed him he could throw it. So he did, at Eloise. Here is Desmond and Eloise and the snowball!

Updates and such

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

It has been a busy few weeks. I just haven’t had much time to post. I have a bunch more Disney picture to put up and I still have some more to get.

Eloise is doing great she has 6 teeth, no clue when the last two came in, but somewhere around Disney most likely. She is cruising and standing on her own for a few seconds now, I figure she’ll be walking soon, probably by January, but it could be earlier or later.

Desmond is giving up his naps, which is a bit of a pain, since it would be nice to have those couple of hours in the afternoon, it is nice though since on days he doesn’t nap he goes to bed around 8pm. He is just about ready to potty train we think. We’re going to attempt to work on it this weekend and see how it goes.

We all had a great Thanksgiving with my family, we had lots of fun and I have some pictures to post from that eventually as well. It was a long drive, and Eloise wasn’t overly pleased, but it worked out. It was great seeing Mommom on the way down and back as well, since her house is a great stopping point for us and lets Desmond run around a bunch and Eloise move around as well.

We are in the middle of getting ready for Hanukkah and Christmas, we’re hosting Christmas at our house this year, we have a fake tree from Target and a bunch of ornaments, hopefully it will look nice. We’re also mostly done buying presents for the two small ones, I need to get one or two more things I think, but they are basically done. We still need to buy gifts for me and Dan though, we think we know what we want that is in our price range though so that is good.

I’ll post some Disney pictures in a few minutes and I’ll try to edit the Thanksgiving and other pictures I have to post soon as well. It looks like we might get some snow on Saturday, which could be fun too.
