Tons of new pictures and posts coming soon!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

I have a bunch of pictures to put up stretching from Father’s Day to yesterday. I also have a bunch of posts to make. We’ve been busy, went to a wedding on the 5th and then down to Atlanta for the week. We had a lot of fun at both. I’ve declared Desmond unpotty trained, he stopped showing any interest in going, so he is back in diapers for the moment. It is too bad since he was basically fully trained before he decided he was no longer interested.

Eloise is 4 months old and can sit, sort of for about a minute or two, it is more of a tripod sit, with her hands supporting her, then a full sit, but it is still cute. Desmond is talking a ton, he just decided he was ready to talk while we were in Atlanta so he started too. He still doesn’t always talk, but he says a lot more now then he was 2 weeks ago. Best line from him recently was at the lake house my Mom was making him eggs with cheese, and he looked at the eggs and said, “Not enough cheese!”.

Anyways here are a couple of teaser pictures, I have a ton to post, I’ll try to get some up this evening/tomorrow.

3 month pictures

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

So yesterday we did a bunch of things for father’s day, including blueberry picking, of which pictures I’ll get up when I get the camera out of the car. One of the many things we did though was get Eloise’s 3 month pictures done. We really wanted a nice picture of Desmond and Eloise together, we failed, we got an okay one, but Desmond wasn’t in a cooperative mood when it was time for pictures. Hopefully we’ll get a nice one eventually. Anyways here are Eloise’s 3 month pictures, she looks so big and non-newbornish now!

And finally the two of them!

I declare Desmond Potty Trained!

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

No accidents so far today. Not even a poop one yet, though I am still expecting that one, and I am still declaring him potty trained even with him not going poop in the potty yet. We went out this morning to the playground in his undies and no accident, and he is now napping and I expect when he wakes for him to be dry as well. So I think that this is officially the end of diapers except for night time and plane rides now, for Desmond.

Yay Desmond!

Buckethead

Monday, June 15th, 2009

We bought a big bowl at Target last night, because we need it for washing wool diaper covers. Desmond thinks it makes a nice hat, for both him and Eloise!

Just for Nonnie and Grandpa!

Desmond wants you to know he has stinky feet. See he is even smelling them himself! And saying Peeyew! He wants you to smell them too, so he is holding them out so you can.

Strawberry Picking again

Monday, June 15th, 2009

We went out strawberry picking on Sunday. Unfortunately it rained a lot of last week, so there were a lot of rotten strawberries. In the time it took us to go through half a row and get 10 pounds of strawberries last time, we waded through 2 rows and got about 2 and a half pounds of strawberries before giving up. They were small strawberries as well all the big ones were rotten, and a number of them were very very very ripe.

I did take a few pictures of Desmond while the strawberry picking happened though. So here he is.

Desmond is sitting here telling us he is done now.

Desmond at Gymboree

Friday, June 12th, 2009

So we went to Gymboree open gym last night so Desmond could run out some of his energy. I had the camera in the car so I got Dan to go out and bring it in so I could get some pictures of him and Eloise. Though none of the two of them together. Anyways Desmond had a ton of fun running around, and making Daddy jump with him!

And yes we realize the irony of putting Desmond in a shirt that says “Life in the Slow Lane”, but his Nonnie got it for him, and it was the first one I grabbed so we went for it.

Atlanta Aquarium

Friday, June 12th, 2009

While we were in Atlanta we went to the Aquarium. We tend to go fairly frequently since Desmond likes the fish and they have some nice play tunnels for the younger crowd, they have a great climbing structure for the older set as well. I got an annual pass while we were there, as did my Dad, my Mom renewed hers as well. We figured I’ll be back at least 2 times before the pass expires which makes it worthwhile.

Desmond had a lot of fun while we were there, though it was very crowded. There was a safety festival outside before we went in and they had a blow up bouncing slide, which he went up and down a dozen times or so, so that helped wear him out as well. He really enjoyed the fish though and had fun exploring the aquarium again.

Eloise slept on my back the whole time which was great as well.

Brotherly love

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Here are a couple of pictures of Desmond and Eloise together when we were in Atlanta.

Oh look it is Eloise!

Maybe I’ll kiss her or hug her, or smoosh her!

Well that didn’t work quite right, but she is still here so maybe I’ll try again.

Hmm she doesn’t seem to want a kiss!

That’s okay I’ll kiss her anyways!

Okay I’m done now, bye bye! Hope you got pictures, because I am done.

Potty training is going fairly well

Friday, June 12th, 2009

We had one accident yesterday total. He won’t go poop in the potty at the moment so that was our accident, but he either went pee in the potty or his diaper, he is still in diapers for nap, night and going out. I was very impressed. Today we are at one accident as well, once again a poop one. I’m hoping to keep this up, he is doing quite well at it, hopefully he’ll be fully potty trained by the end of the month.
