Desmond’s 4 year old stats

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011

So on the 29th we had Desmond’s 4 year appointment and Sully’s 1 month appointment. Desmond is now 39 inches and 36 pounds. That put him in the 50th percentile for weight and somewhere between the 25th and 50th for height. He gained a little over 4 pounds in the past year and either 2 or 3 inches, depending on whose height measurements we go with from last year. He did great with his two shots as well. Overall he is doing great and his speech is improving nicely with his speech therapy through the local elementary school.

Anyways here are his stats from birth to now.
At birth he was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At one month he was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months he was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months he was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
At 6 months he was 19 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches
At 9 months he was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches
At 1 year (12 months) he was 23 pounds 8 ounces and 30 inches
At 15 months was 23 pounds 10 ounces and 31 inches
At 18 months he was 26 pounds and 33 inches
At 2 years he is 27 pounds 8 ounces and 35 inches
At 3 years he is 31 pounds 12.8 ounces and 37 inches
At 4 years he is 36 pounds and 39 inches

Sully Pictures

Monday, April 11th, 2011

I know I promised these awhile ago, but I’ve been recovering slower from the c-section this time, then I did with Desmond. Anyways here are some pictures from the first few days with Sully. I’ll try to post some more recent ones as well later. Sully is doing great and gaining well, he is a little chub! He is totally out of newborn clothes now, not that they ever fit great to begin with.

2 and 4 year old pictures

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

So on Tuesday Dan was home from work because we had Desmond’s IEP for speech services. Since he was home I decided to do Eloise and Desmond’s 2 and 4 year pictures and get one last family picture before newbie arrives. So we went to the picture studio. The family picture took forever, since the two small ones would not cooperate at the same time, and the pictures of the two of them together took even longer, I am so looking forward to trying to get one of all 3 of them in a month. On the plus side I got a ton of very cute individual pictures of my almost 2 and almost 4 year old. So here are a few of the pictures, there were more that came out cute as well, but here are a few of them at least.

First the family picture

Desmond hug, kissing and choking Eloise all at once!

Desmond and Eloise playing chase, they enjoyed playing chase rather then posing!

Them lying heads together, I love this pose, I also love Eloise’s expression which appears to be, “I will kill you if you keep making me do this!”

Eloise sitting on Desmond, one of the best group pictures, even if Eloise isn’t smiling.

Eloise sitting on Desmond, one of the outtakes.

Here are a few of the solo Desmond pictures. I really like these, they came out great.

I love this one best of him I think

And here are Eloise’s solo pictures. I love this first one, it is showing off her stubbornness. I will sit, but you can’t make me look happy!

This one is just cute

Eloise lying down, I like this one she got tired I guess, but it made a cute picture.

Playing outside

Monday, February 28th, 2011

So on the 17th we had a really nice day outside, so I let the small ones out in the backyard to play. Unfortunately even though it was in the 60s, there was still ice on the ground. Anyways here are the short ones playing in the backyard enjoying the nice warm weather.

More Conversations with Desmond

Monday, February 28th, 2011

So Desmond wanted to look at pictures today. I put up a slide show of some pictures from last year, and he saw a picture of Dan.

Desmond: “That my Daddy.”

The next picture was a picture of my Dad, Desmond’s Grandpa. So it came up and I said: “That’s my Dad.”

Desmond looked at me and told me: “No, that Pom, he Nonnie’s Friend.”

So there you have it, Pom is Nonnie’s friend, maybe we should work a bit on the whole relationship thing, then again his description works too, well at least when Nonnie isn’t yelling at her friend!

Snow Pictures

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

Here are some pictures of Desmond, Eloise, my Father in Law and Dan in our backyard playing in the snow that we got at the end of January. We got about 9 inches of snow, which was a nice snow storm, and made me happy. I like a good snow fall during the winter, they are nice to have three or four times a winter.

Conversations with Desmond

Conversation with Desmond: K-line is broken. Daddy can’t fix him. We go to dog house and buy new puppy!

Me: K-line is not broken and we aren’t getting another puppy you are getting a new brother.

Desmond: Oh, Ise is broken! I get new brother from the brother store!

In the snow again!

Friday, December 17th, 2010

So I hear Eloise went out in the snow again today too, but since she was at my in-laws I don’t have any new pictures of her in the snow, sorry.

Anyways Desmond wanted to go out and play in the snow this afternoon so I got him ready. It is so much easier getting one ready rather then two. We then headed out, I actually found gloves for him, they are bright pink since we bought them for Eloise, but they fit which was all I really cared about, and he likes pink so it worked for him too.

He had a ton of fun. K-line decided to come out with us, so Desmond chased K-line around, made half a dozen snow angels, tried to make a snowman, but the snow wasn’t wet enough for that, and threw lots of snowballs, both at me and K-line. Desmond and K-line both ran around a bunch which I think they both really liked.

I only took the point and shoot camera out since I knew Desmond was going to want me to make snowballs for him and what not and it fits in my pocket, unlike the good camera, but here are 3 pictures I took while we were out there.

First Desmond making a snow angel.

Here is K-line running through the snow.

And here is Desmond chasing K-line with a snowball in his hand to throw at him when he gets close enough.

Updates

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Yes I know it has been over a month again since I last updated. I just keep not getting around to it. Enjoy the snow pictures though.

We had a great time at my parents for Thanksgiving, Eloise and Desmond enjoyed playing with Nonnie and Pom, and it was nice being there with just the 6 of us for the first few days before everyone arrived Wednesday night. Eloise loved hanging out with her Pom, and Desmond had fun running around and baking Pom a birthday cake with Nonnie.

On the way down we actually drove straight down, which wasn’t too bad, but Eloise was done about 2 hours before we arrived and she made sure we were well aware of that fact. On the way back we stopped at a hotel room, as Desmond likes to say. He was a bit disappointed that we didn’t go to the Parking Lot (Sesame Place) the following day, since we stayed in a hotel room! He did however break out in hives, shortly before we arrived at the hotel room, and he still has them randomly breaking out now 2 1/2 weeks later. No clue what is causing it, don’t think it is environmental or food related, since they just randomly appear, but who knows, it is possibly a virus, I just wish it would finish running its course and go away.

I am now 25 weeks pregnant and have an appointment next week. It is nice to have hit the viability point in this pregnancy. Yes I won’t want newbie born right now, since that would be super early and cause major complications for him. It is nice knowing that if he was born he has a chance of survival though! He is happily kicking away, and causing me lots of heartburn at the moment. I will be taking the glucose test for Gestational Diabetes after my next appointment next week and before the appointment I will have after that. I am not too worried about it though, hoping I pass so I don’t have to do the 3 hour test again though.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new niece or nephew within the next week. I can’t wait to learn if my sister has a little boy or girl! She was due on Sunday, so baby should arrive soon.

In other news Desmond is enjoying preschool, though he isn’t thrilled about getting up to be there at 7am. He has been evaluated for speech issues through the public school system and we are waiting on a call back to have the next set of evaluations. He has a pretty bad articulation issue at this point in time, so I am sure he will qualify for services. He passed the hearing test with flying colors though, so we know he hears us, even when he is pretending not to though! I figure he’ll probably be evaluated after the new year and have an IEP for speech by mid-January.

Both Desmond and Eloise are enjoying their gymnastics classes as well, and Desmond moved up a level in swimming. We also moved his class time, because 5:10pm just wasn’t working for us, since Dan was taking him and if his train was even 5 minutes late, Desmond tended to end up missing half his half hour lesson. So now he has lessons at 7pm, which is a much easier time for us to get him there.

Nothing much else going on, we enjoyed Hanukkah, and Desmond keeps trying to get us to celebrate just one more night so he can get another present! We are mostly ready for Christmas as well, just need to pick up 2 things for Dan and we’re done. The tree is up, and I’ll try to get up pictures of the small ones putting up ornaments later.

We are busy, but it is mostly routine things at this point in time. Everyone is having lots of fun and we are enjoying the slightly less busy winter months. I am going to try to remember to post to the blog more then once a month, but not promises at the moment. We’ll see what happens.
