So on Sunday we went to my in-laws. Nothing really new there, we go most Sundays. It was the annual Memorial Day cookout though which is always nice. As I mentioned in an early post, one of Dan’s friends and his wife came, so we spent the time hanging out with them, which is always a good time. It was also very very very very hot out, not as hot as Monday, but hot, so the little wading pool was out for Eloise, Desmond and Sully to splash in. Eloise and Desmond got a lot of use out of it, Sully went in for a bit, we didn’t have a swim suit or swim diaper for him, so we used a cloth diaper instead, it worked out. Anyways here are the small ones having fun in the sun.

So we went strawberry picking on Sunday, for the first time this season. The berries were plentiful and we picked 15 pounds of strawberries which I expect will be all eaten by the end of the week. Everyone had a lot of fun, and Sully didn’t mind being on Mommy’s back. Eloise decided to wear her strawberry fairy tutu to go strawberry picking so we have a little strawberry fairy with us at the strawberry patch! Anyways here are some pictures Dan and I took while there, I took most of them, except the one of me.

Sully had his 2 month appointment today, everything is looking good. We did get reflux medicine for him, because though the no milk thing is helping, it isn’t completely getting rid of his issues, so we figured we would try the medicine. He is growing well, he is 13 pounds which is 75th percentile and 24 inches which is 85th percentile, his head is in the 95th+ percentile. It was the quickest pediatricians appointment we have ever had we were in and out within 40 minutes, it was rather nice. He is growing well though and hopefully the reflux medicine with help him.

Here are his stats:
At birth he was 9 pounds 4 ounces and 22 inches
At one month he was 11 pounds 3 ounces and 23 inches
At 2 months he was 13 pounds and 24 inches

We had a very busy Memorial Day weekend. We were planning on a fairly relaxing one but things changed. On Saturday we did have a relaxing day, went grocery shopping, but that was about it, though the grocery trip did span 3 stores.

On Sunday we went strawberry picking and then to my in-laws for their annual Memorial Day cookout. One of Dan’s friends from middle school came as well with his wife, so it was nice to hang out with them. We had fun at the cookout and strawberry picking.

On Monday we decided to go to Sesame Place. We had discussed maybe going on Monday on Sunday and decided that both Dan and I felt up for it. So we made the 2 1/2 hour car trip up, there was next to no traffic, which was nice, and the Delaware toll plaza has been finished off and the traffic flow actually flows there now rather then being a 30+ minute ordeal. We had a fun 4 hours at Sesame Place and then headed home again. It was a nice day, though the ride home, was a bit rough with Eloise melting down at one point and us having to stop to get her to calm down, which woke up Desmond, sigh. Everyone had fun at Sesame Place though, Eloise even went on more then the carousel! She did the family water slide twice with Dan and Desmond, and one other water slide once with Dan. Desmond got to ride a bunch of water slides, and the roller coaster 3 times, which he really loved. Sully had fun in the water, and slept a lot, since it was so hot. All in all it was a great day if hot, and long with all the driving. Oh and we think that Eloise has motion sickness, which would explain the occasional car sickness episodes she has and her dislike of spinning rides as well!

Anyways here are a couple of pictures, I’ll actually do a post for pictures from each event, well except grocery shopping (since even I don’t take pictures of that!), since there are a bunch. I’m going to spread out the posts through this week though, so that I don’t have a ton of posts on any one day.

So we have a new pool for our backyard. I had bought one back when Desmond was 1, but it has a leak in it and is way to small for Desmond. So we went out to Toy’s R Us and bought a bigger one, for the small ones to play in. It even has a water slide! A small one, but it keeps them happy anyways. Unfortunately our backyard facet is not working right now, and Dan has not been able to find the shutoff/turn on valve for it yet, so we’ve had to fill the pool by hand. The two small ones have really enjoyed it though, and even Sully has had fun in it, getting wet. It is even big enough for Mommy to sit in it with the small ones. Overall the pool has been a big hit. So here are some pictures from 2 different days of using it.

All hail the King!

This is Desmond in the throne at his birthday party.

First off some basic blog information/musing. I am attempting to update the blog every Tuesday with a post, mainly a pictures post at this point in time, because typing a lot is a bit beyond what I have time for. I am also trying to post a Wordless Wednesday post every Wednesday. Other then that I am trying to post when I can, but things get busy with three. If you check the site on Wednesday though you should see the new big post from Tuesday and the new Wordless Wednesday, consider anything else a bonus.

I did get around to updating the header, so now Sully is on it. I am still debating if I want to change the whole look of the blog. It has had this look since right before Eloise was born, but I like it still, since it is fairly simple and basic, so I’m still debating which way to go on it, and if I want to spend the time updating the whole look or not.

As for a general family update. Everyone is doing well, Sully is getting lots of attention from his big brother and sister. Desmond is almost done with preschool for the year, I think he enjoyed the year, and should have fun next year. He will be going to summer camp for 4 weeks this summer which he should enjoy.

Desmond is pretty sassy right now, he likes to send you to your room if you don’t agree with him. So I get sent to my room quite often as does Dan. He also has told us, “I don’t want you to say no, you should always tell me yes!” He is always disappointed when his wishes don’t come true. Eloise is starting to have a bit of an attitude too, though nothing compared to her brother. She does have to do whatever Desmond is doing. So if Desmond is doing xyz Eloise always tells us, “me too!” and tries to do it as well. Sully is social smiling, which is nice and he is babbling a little, he still hasn’t rolled completely over, but is quite good on getting up on his side. He is now wearing the same size diapers as Eloise, and we’ll learn how big he is at his 2 month appointment next week.

Everything is going well now, though I am fairly busy with all three of them, we are starting to get a routine down though, so hopefully things will start to calm down some as summer progresses.
