Eloise’s 2 year old Stats

March 14th, 2011

So being a evil Mom I scheduled Eloise’s 2 year appointment on her birthday, so poor baby had to get a shot on her birthday. I know really mean, I actually didn’t think about it when I was scheduling it. She did great with her shot though, didn’t even notice it, maybe because she was eating a starburst at the time.

Anyways onto her statistics. Eloise is now 20 pounds 9 ounces so she gained slightly over 1 pound in 6 months yay! It puts her at under the 5th percentile for weight, but keeps her on her own curve, so the doctor didn’t say anything about it. She is 32 1/4 inches, so she grew 2 1/8th inches since 18 months. It keeps her in the 12th percentile for height, but still on the same curve so she is fine there too. She still has a 50th percentile head as well, so that stayed the same as well. She still hasn’t tripled her birth weight, but she should by 3 at least.

It was a good appointment and she is doing great. We don’t need to monitor anything, I did forget to ask about allergy testing, but she actually seems to be doing better with milk products again, so I am not too worried about it. If I remember I’ll ask next time we go. She had a great appointment and while tiny is growing and following her own growth curve. Oh and I can finally say she is extended rear-facing at least in her main car seat, since she hit 20 pounds!

At birth 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 3/4th inches
At 1 month 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At 2 months 10 pounds 4 ounces and 22 1/2 inches
At 4 months 12 pounds 14.5 ounces and 24 inches
At 6 months 15 pounds 4 ounces and 25 1/2 inches
At 9 months 16 pounds 12 ounces and 26 3/4 inches
At 12 months 17 pound 15.5 ounces and 28 inches
At 15 months 18 pounds 4 ounces and 29 3/4 inches
At 18 months 19 pounds 6 ounces and 30 1/8 inches
At 2 years old 20 pounds 9 ounces and 32 1/4 inches

2 and 4 year old pictures

March 5th, 2011

So on Tuesday Dan was home from work because we had Desmond’s IEP for speech services. Since he was home I decided to do Eloise and Desmond’s 2 and 4 year pictures and get one last family picture before newbie arrives. So we went to the picture studio. The family picture took forever, since the two small ones would not cooperate at the same time, and the pictures of the two of them together took even longer, I am so looking forward to trying to get one of all 3 of them in a month. On the plus side I got a ton of very cute individual pictures of my almost 2 and almost 4 year old. So here are a few of the pictures, there were more that came out cute as well, but here are a few of them at least.

First the family picture

Desmond hug, kissing and choking Eloise all at once!

Desmond and Eloise playing chase, they enjoyed playing chase rather then posing!

Them lying heads together, I love this pose, I also love Eloise’s expression which appears to be, “I will kill you if you keep making me do this!”

Eloise sitting on Desmond, one of the best group pictures, even if Eloise isn’t smiling.

Eloise sitting on Desmond, one of the outtakes.

Here are a few of the solo Desmond pictures. I really like these, they came out great.

I love this one best of him I think

And here are Eloise’s solo pictures. I love this first one, it is showing off her stubbornness. I will sit, but you can’t make me look happy!

This one is just cute

Eloise lying down, I like this one she got tired I guess, but it made a cute picture.

Playing outside

February 28th, 2011

So on the 17th we had a really nice day outside, so I let the small ones out in the backyard to play. Unfortunately even though it was in the 60s, there was still ice on the ground. Anyways here are the short ones playing in the backyard enjoying the nice warm weather.

More Conversations with Desmond

February 28th, 2011

So Desmond wanted to look at pictures today. I put up a slide show of some pictures from last year, and he saw a picture of Dan.

Desmond: “That my Daddy.”

The next picture was a picture of my Dad, Desmond’s Grandpa. So it came up and I said: “That’s my Dad.”

Desmond looked at me and told me: “No, that Pom, he Nonnie’s Friend.”

So there you have it, Pom is Nonnie’s friend, maybe we should work a bit on the whole relationship thing, then again his description works too, well at least when Nonnie isn’t yelling at her friend!

Snow Pictures

February 17th, 2011

Here are some pictures of Desmond, Eloise, my Father in Law and Dan in our backyard playing in the snow that we got at the end of January. We got about 9 inches of snow, which was a nice snow storm, and made me happy. I like a good snow fall during the winter, they are nice to have three or four times a winter.

It has been awhile

February 17th, 2011

Sorry about that, I’ve been sick and unmotivated to post. I have posted some pictures on facebook, but not much here.

Let’s see quick updates. Less then a month till Eloise turns 2, baby boy is due in 6 weeks now, 7 weeks till Desmond turns 4! I’ve had a cold/bronchitis/sinus infection since January 27th or so, hopefully it has started clearing up now. Three plus weeks is just too long to be continuously sick/not feeling great. I missed my nephew’s baby naming because of it, since both Dan and I were sick enough that we thought flying down was a bad plan. We did make my Grandmother’s 80th birthday party because everyone felt decent that weekend. Had fun there and did get to meet my nephew which was nice, so missing his baby naming wasn’t quite as bad.

Both the small ones are doing good, Eloise never got the cold/illness really, Desmond got it but has been better for almost 2 weeks now other then a lingering cough. It has hit me the hardest, I blame the pregnancy.

Other then that not much going on, since I’ve been sick so we haven’t really been doing much obviously. Hope to get out this weekend so we can pick up the couple of things left that we need for baby boy before he arrives, including his car seat.

Oh Desmond is potty trained. I am finally willing to call him 100% day trained, he decided he was ready the last week of December. He is about 90% night trained as well. He has an occasional night time accident, but generally stays dry all night long. It is so nice to only have one in diapers right now, at least for 5 or 6 more weeks. I am hoping Eloise trains this summer, but I am so not doing anything to push it after the whole Desmond taking 18 months to train thing, so we’ll see.

Conversations with Desmond

January 1st, 2011

Conversation with Desmond: K-line is broken. Daddy can’t fix him. We go to dog house and buy new puppy!

Me: K-line is not broken and we aren’t getting another puppy you are getting a new brother.

Desmond: Oh, Ise is broken! I get new brother from the brother store!

I’m an Aunt!

December 19th, 2010

My sister Laura just had her first on December 18th at 7:04pm. It is a little boy, Reese Ian, he was 8 pounds and 21 inches! Yay Laura!

In the snow again!

December 17th, 2010

So I hear Eloise went out in the snow again today too, but since she was at my in-laws I don’t have any new pictures of her in the snow, sorry.

Anyways Desmond wanted to go out and play in the snow this afternoon so I got him ready. It is so much easier getting one ready rather then two. We then headed out, I actually found gloves for him, they are bright pink since we bought them for Eloise, but they fit which was all I really cared about, and he likes pink so it worked for him too.

He had a ton of fun. K-line decided to come out with us, so Desmond chased K-line around, made half a dozen snow angels, tried to make a snowman, but the snow wasn’t wet enough for that, and threw lots of snowballs, both at me and K-line. Desmond and K-line both ran around a bunch which I think they both really liked.

I only took the point and shoot camera out since I knew Desmond was going to want me to make snowballs for him and what not and it fits in my pocket, unlike the good camera, but here are 3 pictures I took while we were out there.

First Desmond making a snow angel.

Here is K-line running through the snow.

And here is Desmond chasing K-line with a snowball in his hand to throw at him when he gets close enough.
