Today you are 4 months old. You are working on crawling, and you are smiling, you still don’t laugh much, but you do love to smile, especially at your brother and sister. You are are babbling, and rolling, and scooting around. You love to snuggle and be held, except when you don’t. You love watching everything going on around you and you look to see what Desmond and Eloise are doing, as if hoping you are big enough to join them. You love to nurse, you don’t mind riding in the car, you love being in the carrier when we are out, and you have started to sit in high chairs at restaurants without slumping to badly. It is weird to think how fast 4 months have past and how quickly I am sure the next 4 will go by.

So Desmond had been asking to go pick fruit all week long, so I told him we would go this past weekend with Daddy. Yes it was predicted to be ridiculously hot, but I was hoping if we went early enough it won’t be horrible. Plus I felt kind of bad because we cancelled our plans for Sesame Place because of the heat. So Sunday morning, which was much cooler then Saturday morning (88ish, so it only felt like 100) we headed up to the farm where we pick our own fruit. Desmond and Eloise were a bit disappointed that strawberry season was over, and that apple and pumpkin seasons have not started, but they enjoyed picking blueberries and peaches. Here are some pictures from our adventure, Eloise was actually almost helpful this year and Desmond was actually fairly dedicated to actually picking and not just eating.

So Sully’s 4 month appointment isn’t for another month when he’ll be almost 5 months. That being said I had to take him to the doctor today to get his reflux medicine worked out. He is now going to try Prevacid instead of Xantac. I have heard great things about Prevacid so I am hoping it helps, since the Xantac isn’t really.

Anyways they weighted him while we were there, he was in his clothes and diaper, so I’m taking 4 ounces off his weight, which should more or less account for that. At almost 4 months he is 15 pounds and 2 ounces give or take an ounce. It puts him between Eloise and Desmond’s 4 month weights. Eloise was 12 pounds 14.5 ounces at 4 months and Desmond was 17 pounds 13 ounces at 4 months. So overall he is doing great, and will probably be doing even better once we figure out this whole reflux thing.

We were at my in-laws on Sunday, and I got a few pictures of Sully on the floor, playing. He has become a lot more active in the past week and is now rolling and scooting all over, and he has just started playing with toys as well. He doesn’t do a ton with them but he does enjoy grabbing them and holding them for awhile.

The bib is on, because he has a bad rash on his cheeks and neck, and we’re trying to keep moisture off his neck to help it get better.

So I don’t know if I have mentioned it before or not, but I can not take pool pictures at the fitness club, they don’t allow it. So the only pictures I get of Desmond, Eloise and Sully swimming in a big pool is when we visit my parents. Since we were just there all last week I have some pool pictures from this summer to share. I am hoping to get some boat pictures next time we go to the lake house since we didn’t end up on the boat at all this time, though Eloise and Desmond did end up on a boat at my sister’s in-law’s lake house, but I wasn’t there to take pictures of that.

Anyways here are few of the pictures I took of the small ones at one of the pools by my parent’s lake house.

They don’t look at all similar do they? The first picture of Desmond I thought was Sully for a minute or two. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any of Eloise in a t-shirt from the right age or I might have played guess which child this is with all three pictures!

Today Sully is 12 weeks old. It is hard to believe that in 12 weeks he has gone from this:

He is now rolling over, playing with toys, interacting with his big brother and sister, babbling and not seeming like a little newborn anymore. He is just getting so big, it is hard to believe that next week he’ll be 3 months old! He is moving into his 6-9 month and 6-12 month clothes, he is a big boy, he is going to be in size 3 diapers soon, just like Eloise. He is already wearing the same size cloth diapers as she is. He is a mellow baby, except when he is screaming because of his reflux or because he wants me right now! He is sleeping mostly through the night from about 11pm till 5 or 6am before needing to nurse again. It is just weird to think about how fast the last 12 weeks have gone.

He has been to Easter at my Aunt’s house and met his Great-Grandmother, he has been to Sesame Place in Philadelphia. He however has still not been on an airplane, unlike his big brother who first flew around 8 weeks and his sister who first flew around 4 weeks and had flown round trip 3 times before she was 4 months old, he will get to fly for the first time in August at 4 months old. He is about to take his first long car trip when we go down to visit my parents at the lake. He is so little and yet he seems so big as well. Here are a few pictures from his first 12 weeks.
