Weather

Friday, January 16th, 2009

It is 12 degrees Fahrenheit out, with windchill it feels like 0. So Dan just took Desmond out to go to the Fitness Club to go swimming. I hope the two of them don’t freeze on the walk from the parking lot to the car and back! On the plus side Desmond’s hair is so fine, it will be dry by the time they leave the club.

Hiding from diaper changes!

Friday, January 16th, 2009

So Desmond likes to hide when he knows I am getting ready to change his diaper. This morning I got the wipes and diaper ready and then went to go find him. He was hanging out in the lazy susan, between the fridge and the dishwasher. It wasn’t that surprising he’s taken it over as his spot, so I snapped a couple of pictures, before grabbing him to change his diaper.

Is it an iPod or an iPhone?

Monday, January 12th, 2009

We have an older iPod up in our bedroom that goes on our alarm clock. Desmond likes to pull it down and play with it. He apparently has decided it really is a phone, so he has his own iPhone! He loves to talk into it and listen to hear what the people on the other end are saying as well.

Bathtime

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Speaking of baths, Desmond loves bath time, except where I wet down and wash his hair, he doesn’t tend to like that part. Here are a couple of pictures though of him playing in the bathtub this afternoon.

After Nap Pictures

Monday, January 12th, 2009

So Desmond has really really really fine hair like Dan. Unfortunately that means it likes to knot up especially when he sleeps. The boy has horrible bed head. Anyways here are a couple of pictures including one from his bath today of him right after his nap with his lovely bed head.

Temper Tantrum, hmm I guess he is paying attention

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

So yesterday we were running errands, we brought along the swim bag with us so we could go swimming afterward if timing worked out, they do adult swim every even hour on the hour for 15 minutes, so we don’t like getting to the fitness club 10 minutes before that because keeping Desmond entertained with water around that he can’t get into for 15 minutes isn’t fun.

So we did our shopping and looked at the time and decided on no pool, unfortunately boy wonder had heard us discussing it, so when we stopped he clapped his hands and was overjoyed, he was less overjoyed when he noted we were not at the pool, instead we were at home. In fact he was so displeased he decided to throw a lovely tantrum, since this was NOT a happy thing!

We did take him to the pool after dinner instead which made him quite happy. We also took him today after we ran our errands, which is a good thing since we discussed it in the car again with him right there.

FYI the child loves the water and swimming, we just need to work on floating so he can do it solo. Oh and closing his mouth in the water.

Gate Climbing

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

So we have a gate in front of the TV to keep Desmond away from it because he likes to climb on the entertainment center and hide behind the TV. It has been up for a couple of weeks now. The other day he pulled it out so he could walk around the side and get into the restricted area. Dan fixed it by gluing the mounts to the entertainment center. So Desmond decided instead that he would climb the gate. Oh and not just while we weren’t looking he’ll do it while we’re watching him and taking pictures.

With Daddy

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Dan stayed home from work/worked from home today because I was exhausted this morning. So he spent most of the morning alone with Desmond, and then all afternoon with Desmond and me. Anyways this is a picture of what Desmond, Dan and K-line do when Dan is playing the xbox360.

And Desmond has a new game, he likes to come and give Daddy a hug, then grab his hair and pulling him down to the ground and ride his head. Which involved the saying, “Just like Mommy’s head, Daddy’s head is not a ride toy!”

Aww a hug, how sweet!

Aww a hug, how sweet!

Now hes distracted grab the top of his head and pull!
