I decided to update the look of the blog, since I last redid it in February, so it seemed like a good time to update it again. Enjoy the new look!

So my father in law is from India, and Dan and he are Hindi. So we occasionally do ceremonies to celebrate certain things when we visit my in-law’s house. Anyways Rakhi is when a sister asks her brother for his protection by tying a decorated string (rakhi) around his arm. He then gives her money or a gift to show that his sister is under his protection and he will watch out for her, or at least that is what I believe it is about. Anyways my in-laws had just received some Rakhi from India so when we were visiting on Saturday, Eloise tied one around Desmond’s arm and he gave her a dollar to show he will protect her (if you consider protecting her to mean he will jump over, not on her *grin*). Here are the pictures.

While we were in Atlanta we also went over to my sister’s in-law’s lake house, since they were up there visiting that weekend. We all had dinner and then went out on their boat. So here are some pictures of Desmond, Eloise, me, Dan and my Mom on their boat.

These are a couple of pictures of Eloise from 2 weekends ago at my in-laws. She was playing on Dan’s old ride on giraffe. She liked trying to eat it.

I still have some pictures to get up from our Atlanta trip. That being said I also have a bunch of new pictures from this weekend and a couple from a few weekends ago. Hopefully I’ll have a couple of videos to put up soon too after Dan downloads them off the camera. New pictures include Eloise getting ready to crawl, Desmond and Eloise in the blow up pool in my in-laws backyard and Eloise on a toy giraffe. Here are a few to keep people (Mom) happy!

While we were at the Lake we went swimming quite a bit. Desmond decided his favorite thing to do in the pool was ride on my back as I swam. He really liked it a lot. I took a bunch of pictures because our pool doesn’t allow pictures and I wanted pictures of both of them playing in the water. So here are a bunch of pictures of Desmond and Eloise, with me and Dan and my Mom in the pool.

Why is my 4 month old crawling across the floor? Dang it I was hoping for a slightly less mobile second child, not a more mobile one then the first child!

We just got back from Eloise’s 4 month appointment. She is doing great, her head circumference is in the 70th percentile, she is 12 pound 14.5 ounce so in the 35th percentile for that, and 24 inches so in the 75th percentile for height. She got her first shot today and does not appreciate the thought, we just got her the HIB, and she is not at all happy about being shot.

At birth 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 3/4th inches
At 1 month 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At 2 months 10 pounds 4 ounces and 22 1/2 inches
At 4 months 12 pounds 14.5 ounces and 24 inches

Just for comparison here are Desmond’s stats at 1, 2 & 4 months, she is smaller then he was at 2 month.

At one months Desmond was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months Desmond was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months Desmond was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
