So Desmond loves to open the oven, we have a lock on the lower one, but the upper one’s lock didn’t end up sticking and he broke it. He loves to open the oven and put stuff in it, so we have to be careful to check it before we cook anything.

This evening there were 2 shoes with socks, a plate, a bowl, a plastic dulpo dinosaur egg and a pot holder in the oven. It is interesting to try to figure out how a toddler’s mind works sometimes. Though sometimes it is easier to just shake your head and laugh.

He is now quite good at clicking his tongue to the top of his mouth. Thanks a lot Mom!

Here are the last of the frosting pictures. He had quite a bit of fun, and quite a bit of sugar when all was said and done.

I think he wants this to be a daily activity.

Desmond wanted to make sure he enjoyed every drop of his frosting.

So on Saturday I made sugar cookies, and gingerbread cookies and another kind of cookie, but the sugar cookies are the important ones. I figured Desmond could “help” me frost them on Sunday. So our big activity Sunday was feeding the child sugar, I mean having Desmond help me frost cookies. There are a ton of pictures of him helping, so here are the first few, including the few where he actually does frost the cookies rather then eat the frosting.

So yesterday, after frosting/eating the frosting of the cookies. We look up and Desmond is playing with his potty. We’ve had it for awhile and leave it out for him to explore so he can get use to it. He decided yesterday to sit in it though and go. I don’t think he is quite ready for potty training though.

First off Happy Hanukkah! Secondly, when attempting to light a Menorah, make sure that there are either matches or a lighter in the house. Otherwise, you won’t be able to light it.

So Dan is getting Desmond a snack and he’s complaining because it isn’t instantaneous. So Dan says, “Give me a second Des.” To which Desmond responds with “one. two.” and walks off.

We have Rockband and Desmond loves playing with the guitar for it. So my Mom got him his own little guitar for Hanukkah which he really likes as well. Dan’s big present this year is also Rockband 2 with all the instruments and Desmond loves the drums. So he plays them as much as he can. He really loves hitting the pad with his drum sticks, we need to pick up a child’s size drum sticks too. I think I’m going to need to find him music lessons sooner rather then later, he really loves playing with music, and playing the piano whenever he can find one, and he’s actually fairly good for a toddler just hitting random notes.
