So since my parents weren’t going to be there for Eloise’s Birthday my Mom sent a package to us filled with presents for both Desmond and Eloise. They both loved opening everything that Nonnie sent. Eloise especially loved all her new shoes. She love sparkly shoes.
At the small birthday party we gave Eloise chocolate pie that was dairy free. She quite enjoyed it! She also liked the cake my in-laws had for her. She was a huge fan of the pie though.
So for Eloise’s birthday my parents were in Colombia. No not where we live, the country Colombia for one of my brother’s good friend’s wedding. So we did a small family party at my in-laws on her birthday for her. She had quite a good time and enjoyed it a lot. Here she is showing off turning 1!
We did a small family get together for Desmond’s birthday at my in-laws on the 27th of March. We also celebrated my 32nd birthday, since my birthday was the 26th. We all had a nice time. We had spent the day at a friend’s house playing games, while my in-laws had watched Desmond for us. Desmond enjoyed his gifts and Eloise enjoyed the cake!
Desmond looked at Eloise and told us, “Ise mess! Clean up Ise!” and then went over to help clean her up because she was a mess.
For Desmond and Eloise’s birthday this year, my Mom got us a membership to the Baltimore Aquarium, which now includes the National Aquarium too as an additional bonus. Which was a great present, because honestly we so don’t need more stuff in our house. She also got them a bunch of stuff, but we’ll stick to the Aquarium piece. So on the 14th of March we all went to the Aquarium for Eloise’s Birthday. Desmond really likes the Aquarium, we go semi-frequently, we also go to the Georgia Aquarium often when we are down there. Both Desmond and Eloise like watching the fish.
We had a really good day visiting the fish, and everyone had fun. Desmond liked looking in the various aquariums to see the different animal and he enjoyed the coral reef section. It was fairly busy on the 14th so we didn’t stay long, since we can come back when it is less crowded, but everyone had fun.
Here are some pictures of the small ones enjoying the aquarium.
So Eloise has a bunch of hair bows. I pick them up at Target for her. She doesn’t have a lot of hair though and they tend to fall out fairly easily. That being said, Desmond loves her hair bows. He brings them to me to put in his hair. So here is my gorgeous little boy all dolled up in his sister’s hair bows. They look really good on him.
So I have a ton of pictures that I haven’t posted recently. A lot. Which means I need to post some, but they have been overwhelming me a bit because I have so many to post. I think I am going to skip the last of the February pictures I have to post, because it is almost May now. I will post some of the March pictures I still need to post though and the April ones. Be prepared for a lot of pictures. There may not be a ton of dialogue with them since I am not always certain on the exact date things happened at this point in time, since it has been awhile for some of these pictures.
Anyways here are a couple of pictures to keep everyone happy while I work on posts for the rest of them.
Desmond has his 3 year old appointment today. The nurse measured him wrong since he wasn’t standing still and she still measured him, so she had him down as 36 inches, which he is definitely more then. I measured him against the wall when we got home and he is 37 inches, so that is what I am going for as his 3 year height not the 36 inches the nurse got. At 37 inches he is in the 50th percentile, at 36 he is in the 15th percentile. He weighed in at 31 pounds 12.8 ounces which seems just about right. It is also in the 50th percentile. So he is in the 50th percentile across the board, which is not unexpected, he is moving into his correct bracket, because honestly he was never really going to be the 90th percentile child for long. Not with me and Dan as his parents.
Anyways everything looked good he is on track or ahead developmentally. He did not like his MMR shot and I can’t blame him. He also did not like the TB test, which the doctor wanted him to get since he has been to India. Since Dan is home on Wednesday we decided to go ahead and do it. We left with one extremely unhappy boy, whose “leg hurts right here!”
Anyways here are his stats from birth to now.
At birth he was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20 3/4 inches
At one months he was 11 pounds and 23 inches
At two months he was 14 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
At four months he was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 26 1/2 inches
At 6 months he was 19 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches
At 9 months he was 22 pounds 3 ounces and 29 inches
At 1 year (12 months) he was 23 pounds 8 ounces and 30 inches
At 15 months was 23 pounds 10 ounces and 31 inches
At 18 months he was 26 pounds and 33 inches
At 2 years he is 27 pounds 8 ounces and 35 inches
At 3 years he is 31 pounds 12.8 ounces and 37 inches
Disclaimer: Excuse the extreme mess behind the trampoline, I know, but my two little terrors have had at least 30 minutes today to destroy the room, and really 5 minutes is all they need!
Here is a video of Desmond on his new trampoline bouncing happily. He also counts to 15 all by himself. Well he make me repeat the number after he says it, but he says it first. So here is my bigger terror having tons of fun on his new birthday present and showing off his counting skills.
